Stopped taking Celexa cold turkey a week ago and have had 0 side

Have been taking 10mg daily for a year and 2 months for mild anxiety. I got instructions for tapering from my doc but lost them and just stopped.

Have been on Celexa 29 mg with few if any side effects for one week and seemed to do well for mild depression and anxiety(for which I take. 5 mg of.

After a week you should be fine physically but look out if uncomfortable feelings of depression & or anxiety return. Many don't have symptoms of detoxing from this medication.

Do not stop taking Celexa without first talking to your doctor. Your doctor may need to gradually reduce the dose before stopping Celexa compley.

I decided I was going to stop taking Celexa. So I did. No weaning off of it slowly. Just straight up stopped taking it. I didn't know it was such a big.

So I just declare that I’m going home and get out of there. They keep asking me questions and I can’t make sense of it all. Where your tear ducts are emptying every last ounce of tears humanly possible. Not just crying, I mean sobbing. Halfway home I break down sobbing.

The revised drug label also describes lower doses that should be used in patients over the age of 60. The drug label has been changed to describe the caution that needs to be taken when citalopram is used in patients with certain underlying heart conditions, and those who are predisposed to having low levels of potassium and magnesium in the blood.

Changes in the electrical activity of the heart can lead to the risk of fatal abnormal heart rhythm; because of this risk in certain circumstances (described below), health care providers may need to regularly monitor the heart – or check blood levels of potassium and magnesium -- in patients that must use Celexa. The maximum recommended dose of Celexa is 20 mg per day for patients older than 60 years of age.
