The Mayo Clinic has upgraded its online Mayo Clinic Health Manager to help patients better manage their health.

Included in the update is a "l-a-Friend" link, found on each Web page. This feature also was designed to make the task of informing schools, doctors and other organizations that require medical history much easier. Officials said the link, designed to inform others of the new features, is pointed at busy parents who need to track their children's immunization list.

Mayo Clinic Diet Plan Review Realistic Goals and Healthy Diet

The Mayo Clinic Diet – the one actually developed by the Mayo Clinic – recommends a healthy diet and exercise for weight loss. Find out more.

Having trouble identifying your pills?

The diet gives you lots of food choices within six food groups:

Exercise: Aim for at least 30 minutes of moderate-intensity exercise a day. This could be brisk walking or working in the yard.

Limitations: The creators of the Mayo Clinic Diet emphasize that it is not a "one-size-fits-all approach," so you should be able to eat foods you like and even enjoy a treat once in a while.

Vegetarians and vegans, as well as people on low-fat or low-salt diets, should have no trouble following the Mayo plan.
