Valium 5mg Tablets - Summary of Product Characteristics (SPC)

Each tablet contains 5 mg Diazepam. Excipients: Also contains 100 mg lactose monohydrate. For a full list of excipients, see section 6.1.

Adjusted on an individual basis. Maximum dose: Up to 30mg daily in divided doses. The lowest dose which can control symptoms should be used. Treatment should not be continued at the full dose beyond 4 weeks. Treatment should always be tapered off gradually. Specialist help may be appropriate. Long-term chronic use is not recommended. Usual dose: 2mg 3 times daily. Patients who have taken benzodiazepines for a prolonged time may require a longer period during which doses are reduced. Conditions associated with muscle spasm Adults.
