We often hear that long-term drug abuse is bad for our health and that even a single use of a drug can kill. But did you ever wonder HOW drugs kill?.

Cocaine can kill in a variety of ways, most commonly heart attack, overheating (hyperthermia), and brain damage. After taking even a low dose of cocaine, you are 24 times more likely than normal to have a heart attack.

Stimulants such as cocaine and methamphetamine trigger the release of the adrenaline-like hormone norepinephrine, which causes increased activity, increased heart rate and blood pressure, and narrowing of blood vessels.

Most people who overdose are under the influence of more than one drug.

Drug abuse kills about 200,000 people worldwide each year, according to a new United One can find no evidence of death due to marijuana overdose.

I was not aware that so many people actually lost their lives to this, I wasn’t aware that his problem was so severe. It is deadly and the authorities should take stricter steps to control the problem in the manufacture, supply and availability line. It is something I will have to live with the rest of my life. Drug abuse is a bigger problem in the medical community where the availability is much more and easier. He actually passed away a little more than a year after he started abusing these psychotropic agents.
