My Positive Experience Quitting Zoloft - Anxiety - Panic Disorders

Something inside of me kept ling me it's time to stop the Zoloft. Week 3 of weaning: Today is my first day of taking 1/4 of a 50 mg daily.

Post Edited (John247) : 10/27/2012 10:16:06 PM (GMT-6).

I wish you luck and be well, Kitt.

I'm not looking forward to the withdrawal as I had all of the same symptoms going off Celexa that a lot of you have encountered going off Zoloft (brain zaps, head aches, insomnia, etc, etc...), but I guess it will be chatting with you folks on here and keeping that light at the end of the tunnel in sight!

and do not go to fast. You have been on it this long so take your time weaning from Zoloft. I strongly agree that weaning off of any of the antidepressants needs to be down under the direct supervision of your Dr.

That, and I seem to sweat at the drop of a hat!? Uhg.It's annoying and embarrassing!.

If only my Doctor had known. When you stop taking it there are severe side effects, more so for some than for others. One of these side effects is a depressive mood and sleeplessness! What a relief that I hadn’t been getting sick again when I had tried to stop taking it, it was just a side-effect. The first thing I discovered is that Zoloft contains a highly addictive drug.

If you are on Zoloft or other generic brand and wish to stop, are trying to taper off Zoloft and wondering if the side effects from lack of Zoloft is causing depression or anxiety attacks, or just want to know some more about how Zoloft affects you, then please read on.

It all happens simultaneously and lasts only 1 or 2 seconds, leaving it hard to really describe.
