In adults, the maximum recommended daily oral dose of Mobic is 15 mg regardless of formulation. In patients with hemodialysis, a maximum daily dosage of 7.5.

Clinical studies, as well as post marketing observations, have shown that NSAIDs can reduce the natriuretic effect of furosemide and thiazides in some patients. However, studies with furosemide agents and meloxicam have not demonstrated a reduction in natriuretic effect. Furosemide single and multiple dose pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics are not affected by multiple doses of meloxicam. Nevertheless, during concomitant therapy with Mobic, patients should be observed closely for signs of renal failure, as well as to ensure diuretic efficacy.

Based on my experience, I would recommend this treatment to anyone with similar problems. I tried the 7.5mg version but it did nothing for me so I started on the higher one. My husband used to have to pick me out of bed and help me to the chair, I could barely take care of our 2 month old son at the time. Taking the Mobic (meloxicam)15mg has been a miracle drug for me. I was twelve years old and had two major back surgeries to correct a spine disorder called Kyphosis.

Each pas yellow MOBIC tablet contains 7.5 mg or 15 mg meloxicam for oral. normalized to a dose of 0.25 mg/kg (see DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION).

MOBIC tablets/oral suspension is contraindicated for the treatment of peri-operative pain in the setting of coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) surgery (see WARNINGS ).

MOBIC tablets/oral suspension is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to meloxicam.

Higher doses of MOBIC (22.5 mg and greater) have been associated with an increased risk of serious GI events; therefore the daily dose of MOBIC should not exceed 15 mg.

The concurrent use of aspirin and an NSAID does increase the risk of serious GI events (see WARNINGS, Gastrointestinal (GI) Effects - Risk of GI Ulceration, Bleeding, and Perforation ).
